Működési mechanizmus

Robertshaw oven thermostats are switches that close and open in response to the temperature they sense. They are located in the control panel, where a liquid filled temperature sensing bulb senses & maintains the oven temperature internally by cycling heat on & off. The tube does so by heating up and relaying the heat back to the thermostat. When it reaches the set temperature, the thermostat cuts off the heat source and when the temperature drops, the thermostat reactivates the oven burner & heats it again. Robertshaw gas thermostats use a double pole single throw snap action mechanism for positive off. Most units use silver contacts with heavy duty terminals for accuracy & durability.

Telepítés

Remove the old thermostat control, ensuring capillary routing and sensing bulb entry into lead wire terminal connections and oven equipment.
Take the old control and measure the length of the dial shaft. Find the groove of the new control which is closest to the measurement taken from the old control. Take two pliers, place one on each side of the selected groove and bend them both away from the stem flat.
Use A4590-013 pilot light kit (sold separately for only 220V applications). Remove screws according to the desired location and install the long screw provided in the pilot light kit in place of a screw just removed. Place the pilot light into position and tighten (but do not over tighten) the nut provided. Connect the two lead wires to the terminals on the control.
Route the capillary and sensing bulb of the new control into the oven equipment and connect the terminal wires using the screw to spade terminal adaptors, if required.
Mount the control using the two self tapping screws provided, which allow horizontal and palnut mounting.
Place a new or old dial onto the shaft. If it does not fit snugly, place a screwdriver into the shaft and twist slightly to spread the shaft.
